The wood floor existed before the remodel & ran from the dining room/ living room.
By placing the new built in bar which matched the same blue finish on the new kitchen hood cabinet (not seen in this angle) the blue cabinets created a flow of color in the space.
The ORB finish hanging light fixture pulls the darker tone of the dining room into the kitchen.
Anchoring the lighter color in the darker room & the element of darker color in the lighter kitchen unites the space. Hope that makes sense.
