I prefer doing a large format tile in the shower (24x24 or 12x24 or larger) to reduce the amount of grout that needs to be cleaned and maintained. I would either use the glossy version of the marble-look tile on the shower walls or find large format white tiles.

I like the look of the white wavy tiles, but over the years I have found that one of the best ways to maintain a shower like new, is to squeegee the walls regularly, so any textured tiles will make that impossible. Just something to think about.

Overall I’m pleased with the project, but I would advise against the wavy tile. (I kind of knew it was a mistake, but we had already purchased & my husband was annoyed that I wanted to return.) The grout lines do not look even to me because of the way the tile is made. The corners are also challenging. And, the fixtures looked crooked, even though they were level; we adjusted, so they look level, but they are not. Cleaning is ok, but you can’t squeegee. I do like the penny tile.
