Paint peels and gets grimy. Corian doesn't.

Do the Corian covers not come in a version for rocker panels? I only see them for toggle switches, which I haven't seen in houses here in many years.

I have always painted my switch plate and plug covers. I've done so for 30 years. I get metal lightly textured covers. These metal paintable covers come in smooth and "wrinkle" finish. I have found the wrinkle finish ones hold the finish better and look more like the wall texture when painted. They have never peeled. I wipe them down with a wet cloth every once in a while. I really dislike seeing white covers in my wall.

I just painted my cheap plastic ones for the third or fourth time. Occasionally they scratch but that rarely happens. Paint whats there and if it doesn't work out get new.
