I like a sky blue in laundry rooms kind of reminds of hanging laundry outside. I would do a plain white counter that will then allow you to do anything in the space .There are fun declas , in your space I do not see a window so maybe something more like a piece that makes you feel like you are looking out a window. You could really make it feel like that with a large window frame and the art mounted behind it. Wallpaper is also a thought . I think laundry rooms are like powder rooms have a bit of fun

Suggest looking at inspiration pictures; ones below are from Pinterest. Search counters (butcher block is inexpensive) and paint colors you like or wallpaper for back wall. Pull it all together with a cute mat. Have an overall plan so it all makes sense and make it lively and fun. Also suggest a system for drying delicate clothes.

Have fun with the paint color. You could do a wood top for one of your counters and a white one for the other. I would get a fun low pile pattern rug.
