A pair of Great Lakes Gold Hostas? Or Golden Falls?

I think you need some red and/or golden colored heucheras mixed in there for contrast. They love that shady kind of place. Also, consider the golden-leaved bleeding hearts, which would look gorgeous there.

I would do upright golds or really bright green, something draping over the side and a bright pop of color with some annuals.

You could even do million bells or petunias thar would spill over the sides.

Just something bright to stand out from all the green in the background.

I think Liberty will be the easiest to find. And I don't have that one. I think I am going to turn Hosta Alley into "Alley of Hosta of the Year" over the next couple of years.

Not in order, of course! My DH is already amused by my hosta spread sheets. 'He hasn't seen this side of me and we have been married for almost 25 years. There hasn't been a reason before. :)

Before Liberty gets to big, one will go in a back row and one out to the Ring of Hosta.

Back to the spread sheet, it has enabled be to identify the hosta that I have (and I don't have and desire to have.) ;) I also have a ready shopping list if I "happen" to be near a nursery. Next my house time I will search for my garden maps and up date them. They of course are to scale, the engineering draftsmen side of me has just been dormant. Then maybe I will start learning linage better.

Oh, I think I have Hosta ""Optimum" Virus and it is rampant.... but I shall maintain six foot distance. Wash my hands and tools often then sit down and laugh often in the garden!

By the way, I am on mandatory vacation time (have too many vacation hours at the end of fiscal year) Drat!

I am painting patio furniture and puttering in the garden. Double Drat!

Liberty is a great choice. Victory would be very dramatic also.
