Thank you RL Relocation. Do you mean that I should drop down from the box at the top of the A-frame? There isn’t currently a box above the sliding door. Of course, all of this will have to wait until electricians are allowed to work in my state, but I’d like to be organized for when they can. I like the look of the fixture on the right.

No you can leave the box where it is, just like their original use, barn lights or warehouse lights can be hung high to let light flood out, the fixture on the right would shine down on to the front of the house from where the electrical is now. However, if you wanted to put it over the door that would work as well. Either way, it fits the style of your home perfectly.
