Bridal wreath spires

Hi, every year I have lived here I have cut this in late fall and therefore never got blooms. I finally figured out it was bridal wreath spirea and I should not prune except in spring after blooming.

so I am hoping that in a few weeks I will finally see blooms.

my question is after that how do I prune. Do I cut the top down some and each branch off. I could use any help you have on this. Thank you.
