Sometimes there are issues and though they may be small, it adds up to irritation with the quilt. I'm glad to have this one done. Someone had given me a bunch of 2.5" strips of valentine fabric, some of it was cheap and I wasn't sure I wanted to bother using it. Last year I bought more on sale to have enough. I bought the backing and it wasn't high quality either. Then I tried the faux binding for the first time and when figuring the width, I didn't take into account the seam so it is really narrow. I thought the edging was covered everywhere, but after washing I notice about two inches of edging sticking out. I'll fix that before it goes off to Africa, but it won't be pretty...probably just zigzag the binding over the area.
