This is my first foray into decorating a bedroom without W/W carpet. Are there any “rules” regarding bedside runners? I know living room area rugs should be anchored by the furniture. Is the same true for runners? I will not have an area rug. Should the runners extend slightly under the sides of the bed? Under the nightstand? If the bed is not centered on the wall, do the runners have to be the same size, or should their width be determined by the distance from the bed to the wall? Should they be any specific length? I will be getting a remnant and having it cut and bound . The room is very small. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
