Do a photo search "master built-in".

I had an 8 foot area dormer in our master. With a three window wall. Since we already had two walk-in closets, I put a comfy chair and ottoman there with a side table, floor lamp, and a large plant. In the 9x19 space before the area where our bed is, I had a local company do a build-in on one side of the full 9 feet width. Four large base cabinets, three sections of shelving, with the center large enough to take a 42" TV. on the opposite wall/area I had my desk. In my area of Virginia, I used Blue Moon Construction.

Thank you so much for your comment. We have architectural plans. The bed is going to be across from the dresser/tv/hutch area. The drawers will be nice and deep (because of the dormer space) for my husband's dresser area. And because it is recessed it also takes up less floor space in the actual bedroom area. I just don't want it to look too "pottery barn"-ish. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I want something that doesn't shout "tv/hutch/dresser"....does that make sense??? And to the immediate left of this wall, is a dormer, window area that I plan to do the comfy chair and floor lamp.
