The 2 tall lamps looks too staged. And try adding one addition accent color through the pillows.

I like room posted above. First no vertical blinds. Add panels in a print to ends of windows. A chevon print. In the golds and cream. I would have put a sectional in like one in pic. Left side chaise. End table by sofa tall lamp. Add a accent color, use in pillows. Floor lamp behind chair. Area rug could be bolder color. Or print try zebra. Big art over sofa gain bold colors.

Put an end table next to the couch under the window and find a lamp that has your accent color to place on the table. Your coffee table looks a little too small to me. One that is more of a rectangle might look better and be more functional. I'm not exactly sure what your accent color is right now, but it would be pretty to pick up that color in a pillow for the couch...same color as in lamp.

Could you put bun feet on your coffee table and use it for an end table at the end of your couch next to the window. Put a table lamp on it. Move your chair and ottoman slightly to slant in more. No coffee table needed. As for drapes/curtains....I have the verticals in our TV room and love the versatility of them....otherwise how about grommet type draperies in a soft white/beige color.
