That's a neat quilt! I'm not much of a modern fan either. I think the off-center pattern would make me a little crazy. :)

I love many modern quilts, and you're right, Theresa, that's a good one. What will be different about the final version? I think it looks wonderful.

Well, the final quilt is a queen, obviously more blocks and larger blocks. When Erin sent a picture early on of what she liked, the colours were in the grey, blue family. So I tried to select shades that reflected her likes. It won’t be a pastel, girly type, the pattern doesn't even lend itself to that. Although now that I say that, I bet it is possible. If you Google Trailside Quilt pattern by Marlous Designs and look at the queen sized image, that is pretty much where I am going.

I do hope to get going on it at least by Sunday, a few other jobs up first.
