I’d give it a try…but not black rimmed…maybe the wood tone of your bed?

Everything looks lovely, but it is a bit stark…how about a rug under the bed to finish off the room?

Thanks Judy. Yep for sure a rug! Not sure what type. (Jute) Under bed. We literally JUST put the furniture in place today :))

Wouldn't put a mirror above a bed. Not really useful there. Do you have a pair of favorite t-shirts with a "venue" design on the front or back of it -- one that you no longer wear but keep for sentimental reasons -- that you might have framed? Consider a plain black frame that you can hang with its top level with the tops of the windows and the bottom still above the headboard.

If you're wanting to add a mirror to your room ... and since you don't really have room to add a hanging hook on the inside of your bedroom door or room to add a robe, etc., to it, consider hanging a full length mirror attached to the back of the door -- the unframed ones -- straight edge or bevel edged -- work well.

The big box stores, including the building supply stores, will have the hardware you need --

add plenty of those.

I'd go with framed art instead. Maybe two similar prints to bring in some color.

On the other hand, if you want to reflect the out of doors, go for it .

Love this rug with your room. Of course, monitors are fickle with colors.

Birch Lane:

Opening a can of worms for you here…do you think the bedding is too pale?

Personal something was a good thought - straight angles, black lamps - 'no' to another hard look. Do you like the macrame going strong?

Does the wall outside the two windows on each side of your bed belong to you - could you stucco it or otherwise smooth it over with concrete and level the top and paint it a forest green? and/or is there room to add a rectangle box planter with trellis with a plant on it between window and wall? Fixing the view outside the two windows on each side of your bed could prove to be more of an upgrade to your ( already really nice ) room than adding a mirror between the beds.

The bedding is light lilac? and is it staying?

Since you already appear to have wall hung sconce lamps and wouldn't need lamps and since your windows open out, consider adding a small hanging bracket over each window with a small flower pot ( with drain tray that doesn't leak ) of heart leaf philodendron

or spider plant

in a macrame ( everdebz suggestion) sling.

Small Tiffany style colorful sun catchers that can be attached to your patio door with a suction cup could keep birds from crashing into the glass and add color to your room -- and you could add/remove and change what you hang according to your mood and/or the season. Making them yourself ( or shopping for them ) could become a new hobby.

I think a mosaic mirror would be very pretty.

I wonder if a black round mirror is the best choice. A wooden framed version or art might create more interest.

The bedding if Def NOT staying !! Haha. Good eye. It’s only temporary.

You could cover the existing bedding with a reversible spread with a pair of matching pillow shams in any solid color that suits your taste. Then add two more pillow shams for contrast that both include that solid color and add other colors you especially like.

i think you could do a small mirror, or art, or nothing. any would work. (I'd prob paint that wall black, but that's me)

here are some similar style bedrooms to give you and idea on accessories (and maybe put a bench at the foot of the bed?)

you could also get a taller headboard.

Love those pics and styles....
This is a new bedroom set so I’m not changing it now :)
Love all the rugs! And love the dark paint on back wall... however i can’t change that now ! Haha. My husband would kill me ! LOL.

@everdebz . Entry walls are white ship lap with Black tile floor.

White roller blinds? Or black?

I would wait to decide on roller (or Roman blinds) and the color until after you get your new bedding and decide on what‘s going above bed, so it’s all complimentary

I mostly posted those pics so you could see the rugs, the wall decor and the bedding.

I couldn't find any white shiplap rooms that weren't shabby chic looking. only the black ones had more of the style that you're going with.

@bethH I love the roller blinds ! Was thinking white ....
