HI -- That is a beautiful bed . It is a nice forever bed if you left it the way it is . Natural is always a better look . I am not much for theme rooms so maybe just keep things in the room natural and basic adding color changes in bedding and decor as needed .

It looks beachy as is. You can always use chalk paint to adjust the finish. Just rub the paint into the existing finish. Or try the White Wax on your existing finish to get that more distressed appearance.

Not crazy about the blue bedding. It seems a bit too literal to me.

See that’s the thing.. I don’t know if I should stain it one of the two colors on the left or paint it white.. or leave it as is??

To stain you have to strip off the existing finish. If you use the chalk paint you can go right over the existing finish.
