I have no idea of your situation but generally I dislike flowered bedding if you share the space with a male. All the clutter off the floor some nice bedding maybe in a paisley and once you choose the bedding then you choose a wall color that works with it, Lamps on each side of the bed and maybe a bit less office looking for the lamps.I like coverlets in the summer and then maybe a duvet or comforter in the winter. So decide that . These are all ones I think would work with your white furniture

So with those choices you would then choose a color from that to paint the walls,

    My husband loves the bedding

Wondering what, if anything, should be above the headboard or over by the mirror. Appreciate any suggestions.

HI -- It should not be too hard to make this a beautiful bedroom. One thing I do not like is all matchy furniture . Get a large rug that fits the room ...something with a soft color ( starting point ) and texture . Measure the room so the floorcovering store can help you with the proper size . I like the wall color so you don't need to change unless you want too or.... pick a new rich color from the rug you choose . Move the bed to the opposite wall . I think you need a much longer rich wood dresser for the other wall . Side tables in the same color tone but they can match or not . Large lamps . Now I think drapes will add so much to the room. Full length pleated or grommet top on Dark chunky rods . Big round fancy mirror above the dresser and also a big lamp or matching pair . In store designer or interior designer or a design student can help you put together everything such as the rug , drapes , and bedding . You could even paint the headboard if needed . Look for inspiration bedrooms on Houzz . Also check out Houseandhome.com and any other sites .

Love your windows. I just redecorated my bedroom and I am struggling with what to put over the bed as well.

I always find the space over a bed so challenging! We did a shelf, and decorated it with things I never move lol! Picture frames, vases, faux plants and art... I also agree an area rug will really help make the space feel complete! I think the bedding is so cute you could play off those colors

What my eye notices is the fact that other than the bedding, there is no other color in the room. Pick a color from the bedding and use it in small ways. Personally, I'd go with the pink/peach or the yellow) from the bedding. I'd add a neutral area rug, remove the bedskirt, remove the clutter at the foot of the bed, change out the throw pillows on the bed (I'd add something pink/peach or yellow with texture).

thanks, any ideas for the wall with the mirror? I cant find anything I love that's not matchy to the current furniture. I want to put my orchids and other plants over by the window. Maybe, remove the mirror. Your ideas will be appreciated.

I like your current wall paint. I would leave the mirror as it is but bedding! (more stylish).

I could not find any bedding I liked that helps with constantly looking good with an outdoor husband and dog. Any ideas of color and style will be greatly appreciated.

New bedding is key as well as de clutter the room . A nice area rug and chandelier would really freshen it up
