How far away is this from your kitchen? Will you see the view on low to the ground furniture?

Kitchen not far but there will be dining room and living room between kitchen and terrace. And no, the view will not be seen when seated, only standing up.

Our last house had a 6’ deep porch. We opted for comfortable sitting furniture as we do a lot more lounging than eating. Occasionally we would eat outside but it’s not like you were eating a four course meal...

I would do a sofa along one wall, and a square or round bar height table and chairs in the opposite corner. You could pull the table out of the corner if you have guests. Nice place to enjoy the view while having lunch then nap on the couch!!

Love the bar counter idea, or you could do a bar-height bistro table and chairs. Put in a bench seat/sofa with cushions on the left wall.

Great ideas. Indeed we are foodies and i have trouble letting my beautiful teak table go... but what you say makes more sense. Was hoping to grow a wall of climbing roses in one of the sides too! Wish me luck!
