are the flowers already blooming.. or are buds just now developing ...

some suggest ... by the time you see the actual flower.. the energy is long ago spent ...

other than that.. you really dont give us much info as to size and vigor .. in ground or potted.. etc ... nor a pic ...

In bud I guess. Its still small and colorless. I wish I took a picture. Its potted and around 5 in tall.

tip it out of the pot.. and see how good the roots are ... that might give us some info to work with ...

I won’t be able to go the garden until Wednesday.. I do know that the roots reached at least 3/4 deep down the 4 in round pot from last time I checked. If it’s something that needs to get done then I don’t want to allow the plant to spend useless energy for another 3 days and maybe I’ll have my dad snip it off.

Pinch off the flower if it’s only 5 inches tall.
