Mira, with such a beautiful front lawn I would recommend starting with the entry/porch. If possible, put in double door with full glass, doing away with window to right of existing door. Widen path to front to line up with new door to give you more space from which to enjoy the view. Paint brick for now. If you need to re-roof at some point, choose a light grey architectural shingle and perhaps consider a board and batten siding in light grey if budget permits. A larger garden bed on left with a pretty ornamental tree like a Japanese Maple would be nice. I searched Houzz under mid century ranch exterior and found good examples but couldn’t figure out how to pst a pic. Perhaps other Houzzers will chime in.

The house has string horizontal lines. I would add a modern door that has stacked horizontal glass to repeat your window lines. Then add a sidelight, remove the long window, then maybe add a round window to the right of the door, sidelight combo.

There are too many low limbs on the foreground trees, producing too much shade and obscuring the house view as seen from a distance. We can't see the limbs, but know they are there.

Widen the walk to the entrance. Lining each side with a row of sailor course brick will get you an additional 16".

The basic foundation landscaping would look better/tidier if you coordinate with the architectural features, which is mainly adding single shrubs below the windows and a small tree (made of a large shrub) diagonally off of the left house corner. The rest is mainly a groundcover bed where you strategically place some dominant clumps of perennials and then fill in the rest with whatever low growing plants you want. It can be a single groundcover, or it can be a variety of perennials if that's what you need to have. Too much disconnected variety makes it look busy.
