What @Shannon_WI said. We need images and counter information. I think you’ll find you have many options. To figure out what looks you like, google images of kitchens with natural maple cabinets and save the ones ones you like.

Given the assertiveness of the floor, I would keep to pale greens or blues. In fact my second inspiration image with the pale green granite and tile would be my choice for an inspiration image. As to the backsplash tile, you really should wait to choose the counter material first, then bring in samples to view in your space.

That floor seems to make the lower part of the cabinet turn pink-ish, hich would not be a color I would want for kitchen cabinets.

Love your cabinets. Unsure your floor choice pairs well with them though. On my screen, the floor is too "strong" a colour and busy in movement for the cabinets. That's my opinion though and I'm not a pro. I'd reserve the colour and movement for the backsplash.

Thank you tartanmeup. I am struggling with it. We bought the flooring (750 sq ft) in 2009 and are still trying to use it. We built the cabinets and are struggling with painting them white so we can use the floor.

Not a pro either, but the thread caught my eye and I would agree with tartanmeup. Cabinets are gorgeous but not feeling like floor matches. Commenting to bump up and see if more pros comment.

Honestly, I think you should ditch the floor. You’ve got two materials that just aren’t working well together, and that is going to make the rest of your decisions (counter, backsplash, paint) harder and harder. I’m sure it stinks to hear that from people after you’ve been holding on to this flooring (which is beautiful) but it’s just so dominant that it’s going to affect everything else. Better to give it up now than build a whole kitchen around it and regret it later. The cabinets are really nice and I’m assuming that you’ve just spent big money on them and can’t back out without losing a ton of money. If it’s easier to start over with the cabinets than the floor that might be manageable depending on the rest of your house. If you really have your heart set on the floor, I would spend the money to get professional design help. Even if you can only afford a consultation, find someone who is willing to charge by the hour for a consultation and have them come help you sort through this and make a plan for the remaining products.

Are the handles in photo the ones to be used?

Another Caesarstone was Linen color. Sand/ beige backsplash.

I'm not a pro either, but I really like that floor - I wonder if it's possible to stain the cabinets to that lighter golden color that's in the flooring? Then you'd be dealing with only two different wood tones instead of three?

Maybe you could use one of those paint store apps and see what they would look like in a different color.

I agree with @lwfromny. That flooring does not compliment your maple cabinets.

The cabinets are beautiful and will look nice and be easier to maintain with a light/natural stain vs. an at home paint job. Is the color pictured what you’d go with, I’d say white counters w/black cabinet hardware. Specific material recommendations would depend on your budget.

if you have 750 sq ft of the flooring, are you using it in other rooms as well? As others have pointed out, it’s very bossy and will dictate decorating choices in other rooms as well

I am having the cabinets painted white. I’m keeping the floor and using it in the kitchen.
Do most people paint cabinets a standard white? What do I look for when painting my kitchen walls to complement my cabinets? I’m adding a couple of wood details like some open shelves and the counter will be white with grey marbling. I looking to have the floor and the wood detailing really pop against the counter. Any suggestions? And thank you all for your previous suggestions. It really gave us something to think about in keeping the cabinets natural or painting them.

There are hundreds of shades of white, there is no “standard white”. You’ll need to pick on that goes with the tone of your counter and floor.

I have a hard time picturing how a gray marble counter will go with those warm tone floors. Have you put those materials next to each other?

You're looking for a white that has warm tones. Here's a lot of discussions about picking the right color white for cabinets. Look for the comments that mention warm tones.

Get samples, try them out against the floor. Take your time (you're patient, I can tell from the 2009 flooring :-) ) and look at it in many different lights.

Agree, the grey marbling is likely not the best choice with the flooring and the correct white cabinets. Folks seem to love Taj Mahal as it seems to have both grey and warm colors. No personal experience on that, just what I read on Houzz. What counter material will you be using?

Thank you for your input. I was afraid there was no standard white. Lol. I am hoping I can go with a predominately white palette and that will really make my wood floor and some of the wood accents pop. I have another question I’m hoping to get some help on. I would like to put the same colour on my walls as on my ceiling. Can I put an eggshell sheen of the same colour on my ceiling and a satin finish on the wall?
Tozmo1 thank you for the link, very insightful. I should have been more specific with the counter. Mostly white with a very little gray marbling. Not too much. I don’t like an all cool look or all warm. I was hoping with very neutral white walls and cabinets it could work.

You can definitely paint the ceiling the same color as the walls - I do it all the time because it makes the room feel larger. And yes a flat or eggshell finish will work for the ceiling :).

@simmsjennifer My concern on the counter wasnt just the amount of marbling, but that the background white would be too cool to go with your very warm wood.

For the paint sheen, it’s normally flat on ceiling and eggshell on wall.
