We had door and doorway casing and baseboards installed less than a year ago. I believe it was just 1X4 primed pine. We do not have kids or dogs in the house and are already noticing spots on the sides of the trim where little dings and notches are happening. It was painted with satin SW latex paint.

My question is - Is there a type of more durable trim we should have used or a different paint?
