Purchased home with sun room addition which acts as the dining area. Very tight crawl space under it. First instinct was to pull the windows and rebuild properly, carpenter talked me out of it. Area is now tiled. I still regret not rebuilding it. Heavy sigh.

I'd live with them for a while. This is one of those rare items that probably won't cost much more to change later. Looks fine to me.

Seabornman I feel ya!! We had some roof rafter issues but otherwise I’m astonished we didn’t uncover more nightmares. For weeks I tiptoed around waiting for the contractor to sing out my name and come see what he uncovered. Ultimately I think I’m going to blow some of my contingency funds on the window.
