Is this Rusty(Bombus affinis) ?

Feeding on Polymonium reptans and Low Bush Blueberry today.

    Looks more like Bombus ternarius or orange belted bumblebee.

    It's possible, but I think either Bombus huntii, Hunt's bumblebee, or Bombus ternarius, Orange-belted or tri-color bumblebee, might be a closer match.

    Blueberries are also a preferred nectar source for Bombus ternarius, so that would further support orange-belted bumblebee as the most likely. Either way it's a nice pollinator and great for your garden!

    thanks. I'll go with the Orange bumblebee. It seems outnumbered by 50 to 1 or so by the other black and white bumble bees. The native Blueberries will be through flowering soon. But I hope I see more of this cute little thing.

    I love bumblebees!! They are fat, furry and friendly :-))
