I have done two ammonia and couple of vinegar ones so far. Also have been applying escar go. Still find some slugs in hiding spots.

No advice, but very nice plants!

Lindalana, I never heard of escar go. Do you buy online? Is it like sluggo?

I got confused by a post about a month ago - someone said it didn't do any good to spray the vinegar or ammonia drench unless "you could see them" - I assume they meant the slugs? Well I didn't because I didn't 'see' any and now I wish I had because shortly after that report 'they' hit hard and I was out in the rain putting down slug bait. My hostas with the most frost/freeze damage are being eaten alive. I just put more slug bait down and am out before getting to the new hostas. They are even on the roses!! So can I still spray or is it too late now?

It's NOT too late! It just would have been better to start early. So you can try to do it early next year.

I use 1 part ammonia to 9 parts water. Also try to do it when the ground is moist, not dry.

Also Ikayetwvz5, you must do the drench in the fall when you do your yard cleanup. Slugs lay their eggs and those little buggers lie dormant until Spring. So as soon as you see your spring pips, start pouring. Also as newhostalady said, I would do a drench now. It won’t help damage done, but it will help with your new growth. Good luck! This process really worked for me. I did go out last night however and check for any slug......not a one to be found. Also if you add new hostas, remember to treat them when planting them.
