I have no idea if it's definitively brass or gold leaf, but I'd guess brass. I will try and take a picture with the lights off late next week when I go back there.

Seeing all the excess chain on the chandelier, I'd guess this is not the first place it's been installed. Is it just the photo or does it have a glass section of the canopy? I've never seen that before (which doesn't mean it isn't common!).

I think it's pretty nice too--I like the proportions and the sensible use of bling.
