So my neighbor had some potatoes that she was going to throw away. I have some empty space where I tried to grow peas but the rabbits ate them. So I went ahead and quartered the potatoes and planted them on Memorial day (Growing up I was told you are supposed to plant them on Memorial day, or was it a different holiday? I never did pay attention to my Dad).

So my question is, Do you think I will actually grow any potatoes? I know it is late to be planting them and I also suspect the potatoes were treated with a sprout inhibitor so I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

I guess if they don't grow I will use that space to plant my fall garden like I was planning anyway.
