I’m liking more of the bare walls as i go, but do like my ribbon plates and started to collect years ago and the round metal bird decor had been a present from my daughter. Now realistically, it would not bother me to give some of the ribbon plates to charity since i’ve been trying to downsize my stuff. Kind of over them, i do like the look in your last post though!

I can't tell, but those pretty plates might be just muted enough to look good in a room with more wood stain.... I saw them in bedroom too.

Beautiful... and deeper green items. Is the border a pewter type green? and nice with wood.

I am moving this stand up shelf into my living room when i figure out what color to paint it and maybe i can hang them in the back of it. We are about to reconfigure our stairwell also which will give us more wall space in there and the shelf will be good against wall just at entrance in dining room, lots going on, lol

Oh that’s just my guest room, i stored all my nautical stuff in there and do my furniture refinishing in there. All of that is about to change too, lol

Totally personal, but I'm not maroon person... deep rose maybe, with floral, just to cover it all!

This is my living room for the most part, but repainting walls antique white w/ new white longer wider canvas curtains if i can get kitchen done :)

There any reason the post included a berry/ mauve color block? that color could freshen up the soft maroon plate... :)

but if the rug's color is repeated more so with the orange-y colors, I guess not.

I may just paint the standing shelf outer same as my living room trim and the back inside of it the color of my dining room walls (plantation moss) or the green that are my kitchen cabinets (green tea leaves), that might tie in pretty good together. And alas, i received more wall art for Christmas :)

I think i’ll paint the outer frame of the maroon plate. I have the palest yellow paint, probably give me more options and keep it in the kitchen with the green one since there is a ‘bird’ theme in here?

Oh, i’ll never have something like this, just playing around. Mom at one point traveled for Vulcan out of Kentucky with sales for their equipment, may not be Vulcan, but she started researching stoves yesterday after we had a conversation :)

Everdebz, hi sorry got away from the cabinet for a bit. This cabinet i have to move into living room at some point and i will be rough painting it. Thought if i place on a close wall to dining room that the ribbon plates may can be hung in here since i am attempting to clear some kitchen walls . Not sure what color but may do outer trim in white to match room trim then inner back section of cabinet another color for background of plates? Probably should pull a color from rug. Something that will look good with navy love seat. No hurry on this, just looking ahead :)

Hi there DrB! I did actually re do above the dresser there on top of the cabinets. I was reading back on this old post of mine and we sure did have some fun! Then this thread disappeared (?) started the new one at the guest room time frame. I guess you probably saw the two shelves at the sink being taken down. Here is the top of the cabs above dresser.

Really happy with this decor up there. We find those metal stands occasionally and have placed two up there with my huge blue glass vase. Hey, sometimes I see that you post on my other thread but your comments don’t show? Not sure what happens, but nonetheless it’s always nice to hear from you ;).
