Love our Sharp drawer. Most, if not all, MDs are made by Sharp. It's convenient, no lifting bowls of soup above your head with the potential to spill hot liquid all over yourself. The heat is precise and powerful. We have owned 2 (installed one in our last house and then moved to our current house) and never had a problem with either.

I did love Sharp drawer until it caught on fire with no warning! It was only a couple years old. It's a fairly common problem with them. Unfortunately all the microwave drawers are made by Sharp so there isn't another option. We had to replace it with a normal microwave because I couldn't risk it catching fire and my kids not noticing until it was too late.

agghh, catching on fire was one of the things I’d heard. :(
