And yes, I know my clock is hung WAY too high. I will follow rules with the mirror :)

I would say about the same size as the clock, it looks about right. Art would be better tho.

I think a larger mirror would be great. Using the clock as a reference, IMO it is much too small.

Generally, hanging pieces look best when only 75% of the width of the furniture beneath them.

Thanks all! I decided to go with a rectangle mirror, since both my dining table and rug are round (trying to mix it up a bit).

The one I chose is simple but oversized (32” W x 47” H). I may not even need to hang it. It might be able to sit on the table. I’ll have to see when it gets here. (Table is 47.5” wide so height of mirror will be the same but width of mirror fits the 2/3 rule).

@Angel 18432 I looked at art as an option too, but since the space is smaller, I thought a mirror would help create the illusion of more space.

I do not like mirrors in DRs no one I know wnats to see themselves eating a piece of art can also give the illusian of space find one that is like looking out a window if you want that feeling. Also when ever you hang a mirror you need to know exactly what will be reflected and it needs to be something you want to see twice and IMO not the guests.

Wall art would be better choice.

That mirror will look lovely in there. Good decision.

That mirror should be fine hung horizontally. You will need to hang it instead of placing it on the table. Properly placed, no one watches themselves eating, but it will reflect your chandelier and expand the space visually.

I think the rectangular mirror will be beautiful! Nice choice.
