I was told 15 years ago I needed knee replacement. Really not that bad, but I would not want to plant that many daylilies! Although the way I tend to spread pollen around, I probably could. I love that daylily, beautiful rich color! I never kill snakes in the garden, but I avoid them like crazy!

I agree-wonderful color on your bloom!! Also agree about the shiver!! I have to be careful due to the venomous copperheads that love to get in the shade of plants. I have not seen any in my garden but last year a local gardener was bitten on her hand reaching in to weed. And, oh, my, that seedling planting! And I know you have a lot more! As I mentioned earlier I don’t know how you guys do it!!!

Tango Lessons is so striking! I can understand why you ordered it again and why you want to protect it in the greenhouse. I think the snake is just giving Bob a hug. I would scream bloody murder if a snake coiled around my garden clog like that. You guys are making great progress on getting this year's seedlings planted. I built a new raised bed for my seedlings, and I'm working on filling it with soil right now. Maybe the seedlings will get planted in it this coming week.

I was just thinking about the knees. My DH has had 3 knee surgeries, with 2 replacements and is looking at maybe another replacement this year. Neither of us can get down any more. Something had rolled underneath a cabinet the other day and we had to chuckle, because it will just have to lie there until someone with better knees comes along. Want to rent Bob out?............OMgosh on that snake. Even knowing it's non-poisonous and beneficial it still gives me the willies..........Nice daylily too...............Maryl

Tango Lessons is lovely, Nancy. That is a good snake even if it looks creepy. I have only had one knee replacement, so I can still get down and around, fortunately, but that many seedlings? nope. I have no idea how you do it. I am so looking forward to your blooms.

We had a young man working for aus a few years ago. I showed him a common black snake. I think he is still running.
