We need an additional picture, from the street, maybe, to see the whole house. Are the vehicles we see regularly parked right there near the door? If so, you need to plan around them.

The overall colour of trim is not dated, however your deep red door is lost(or locked) behind the security door. If you want to maintain the red, paint the security door the same or you could take both to black or dark charcoal which would tie into the black frame of the bay. By matching the colour of the security door and main door, they will look as one. The plant pots in the bay look great, try something there more substantial and with some color as the smaller ones are getting lost. If your not a big gardener, a few pots the same color as the door in the front area , say at the corner of the house or beside the step with some good color, will bring interest to your front area. I see some seating at the front, again tie the color to the house by painting either the trim color or again pulling the door color.

A modern clean lined light by the door with house numbers under would help. If the scrolls on the security door can be removed, it would be a more updated look. A larger front bed with more plants not higher than the window sills will ground the house into the landscape. The odd grouping of chairs is more distracting than the garden window.

Your house overall is very cute! I agree with the others. That security door has to go. A new front door with a little more personality would be good. For security you can keep a solid (no glass) door, but I recommend a two panel door in a fun color.

New vinyl windows would be nice.

Those plantns out front need to go to. Add some nice landscaping instead.

Just paint the exterior house trim and front security door a new color - White and the front door a bright Red. That should brighting up the home.

I agree with this suggestions. If you also get rid of the scrolls on the security door, you could also get a new door handle that is straight instead of curved. Also, get rid of the "NO SOLICITING" sign - since you have a security door, this sign is not really necessary. If you have a problem with solicitors, get a security camera so that you can see who is at the door before you open it. A security camera would be less offensive than the sign.

Thanks for each input. I've removed my old red steel door n grey security door as well. I replaced with a new steel door n painted it Anchors Aweigh by Sherwin Williams. I'm still inching my way forward, so I invite n appreciate any additional suggestions.
