Nice looking, well-trained fig. How do you keep them under control in a container?

Figs?, only one way, establish your final size container, next, root pruning, heavy pruning.

Eat fig either this year or next. So, grow more than one and better be the finest varieties.

Talking about pruning, last summer prune my 2 Meyer lemons plus repotting. Today, they are back to normal.

Bob, what kind of jaboticaba is it? I read that red jabo will produce earlier. Mine comes from pine island nursery without any mention about the variety. Knowing my luck, I sm pretty sure that it’s a sabara so it will take years before I have something as beautiful as yours!

Adam, from Flying Fox nursery advise me to grow Red Jaboticaba for my zone, precocious, need very acidic water, lots of it, just organic stuff, like Espoma holly tone. I don’t eat the seed or skin. While fruit is ripening, new flowers will start again, all the way into winter. Good luck! You 3 Canadian, Jan and Brian are the greatest, a joy on this forum.

Wow do I have a lot to learn guys I thought there’s only one kind of jabo tree! learn something new everyday thanks to all of you here :) I think the jabo is up there along with pawpaw tree on my wish list! but then again seeing Amy’s avocado tree I’m sure I’ll be wishing for that too in no time! Bob espoma anything here it’s very expensive I saw espoma citrus tone for $67 at Walmart the other day! Only place I ever saw it around here and the bag was quite small too!

When it comes to fertilizers , I go cheap. I don’t buy anything full price, never unless it’s something special I need. Espoma comes 8lb bags and a bigger one, 18lb bag. Around my area I buy them at fall discounted prices, like $5.00. The bigger bag sells normally $26.00.They very seldom go on sale. If you find them, you might get it for $11.00. You can try to just use compost. Bought a big bag, because it was sort of wet I couldn’t hardly carry the sucker for $12.00. I have astablish sources for my growing stuff. Last week I found a source for cottonseed meal for use on my new blueberry plants, a 50lb bag for $16.00.

That,s another fert for acidic use.

There's a guy in Virginia Beach that grows like 6 kinds of jabos. Some grafted, some from seed. How would you describe the flavor of the fruit Bob?
