I see lots of issues with this kitchen maybe giving us some more info as to why this kitchen might help. IMO this is a question with no context just a random kitchen picture.

This is a picture of the actual kitchen I picked .i would love to hear the the issues you see. I see the issue with oven needing a landing spot but I thought the island could work??

There are many things you can do and budget and how you plan to use the kitchen are big considerations. It does look like a lot of white. I like mixing in wood or color and coordinating that with a hood. It looks to me like that size kitchen can handle a larger stove and a more dramatic hood. I’m not sure of the material on the beams, but that does need to be considered to coordinate all the parts. What are the beams made of? Also you could look to do more drama or color with the countertops.

Also lighting over the island could help.

I thought about a different color island but wasn’t sure about what color . Grey?? Also thought about a bigger hood range but wasn’t sure if people do that with electric cook ??( normally I see it with large gas ranges?) also how could I reconfigure cabinets?? Thanks for any suggestions!! Beams can either be stained cedar or pine .

The hood has to do with venting away your cooking - oil, steam, etc. - not gas vs. electric.

I was really looking at the range from a design perspective, it appears small in scale to the size of the kitchen. Induction is also a great way to go instead of electric.

I was suggesting changing the color of the hood to coordinate with whatever you pick for the island and being conscious of it coordinating with the beams, lighting, countertop, and backsplash. There are many directions you can go to make two species or finishes work in this space.
