My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Ingenious star of this kitchen is the sliding backsplash!

It appears as though the part directly behind the cooktop is stationary & the sides move. How deep are the niches behind the sliding doors? How did you engineer it to support the weight of the slabs and slide easily?

    Thanks for asking, You are correct, the niches are located on the left and right sides of a stationary backsplash behind the range. There is about 3.5" of clear space behind each sliding door. We used sliding hardware that is rated for the calculated weight of each stone door. We also upgraded the fasteners to ensure durability. It works beautifully.
