Dining Room Suggestions

Slowly working on our house as $ allows. Will be changing the lighting and curtains in near future. Hubby wants to add a large tree in the empty right corner. Suggestions? Is greenery too dated? What do I do to complete this space?

You forgot to add the "other" option. Trees are not good in dining areas. If you want to eat under trees, pack a picnic. What would you use the cabinet for? IMO, a buffet is a better choice, but I can't tell if the room can be rearranged to properly handle it.

Here I thought the lights were fine-o.

But I can say that the 3 greens are too small - what about an "organic" long and oval dish?
