Front Garden 'water feature' in Brooklyn

Hi

This is probably quite a 'long shot'!

I am an enthusiastic gardener from the UK and last summer came on vacation to NYC and had a fantastic time. Amongst the many things we did, we took the underground to Brooklyn, then walked to the waterfront area and then back to Manhattan over the bridge.

Whilst walking from the underground station to the Brooklyn waterfront, I saw some beautiful front gardens in the town houses along the route. In one garden, there was a fantastic water feature that really caught my eye. It was very natural, I think constructed from large timbers and surrounded by masses of greenery, making the overall effect very serene and calming and very classy.

I 'd just love to re-create something similar in my own garden here in the UK and wish I took a photo!!

Does anyone know the garden I mean? I know it may be a 'needle in a haystack' search but if anyone knows the garden and could forward a photo, I'd be eternally grateful!

Sadly, I don't know the name of the street in question, but the route we walked took in a pharmacy (close to an Italian restaurant) and what I seem to remember being a main shopping street (with a tourist map). It was a residential street, with lots of 2/3 storey, traditional houses.

No problem if I'm asking too much, it's my own fault for not taking a photo but I'd love to create this little part of Brooklyn back in my garden in England.

Thank you

David
