My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Last year, near the end of my season, I pulled a big Semp from my rock bed and plunked it in an empty strawberry pot. It has flourished and grown huge! I was looking at it yesterday and it appears as though the single rosette is splitting into at least 3. Is this common in these?
I don’t know if it’s common, but I do know when the center growth on succulents gets messed up for whatever reason will cause the succulent to do funny/cool things like this🙂.
Perhaps it is Jovibarba heuffelii rather than Sempervivum. They reproduce by splitting the crown of each rosette into two or more new crowns and if you want to separate them, it needs to be done 'surgically'. Sempervivum grow offsets on stolons. Another big difference is in shape of flowers: Sempervivum flowers are star-shaped, Jovibarba has bell-like flowers, color is pale cream to yellow.. They are both monocarpic.
Btw, I believe there are few offsets there too? Then it may not be Jovibarba...Crested semps look bit different in all photos I have seen, but maybe it is beginning of a crest.
