The time to prune your trees, is a long long way off. Your trees don't even have any growth yet.

Thanks Silica. Wasn’t sure if I needed to do it as it grew from this stage or wait a while first.

citrus trees are more of a bush so those beds are normal.

Just get it established at this point. It needs to recover from transport shock. It may sprout new small branches lower down with some sun and warmth this summer or next. As long as the branches are green, it should regrow leaves over time. Patience. Don't go chopping anything yet.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I Have the tree outside now in bright shade. The seller said to keep it in shade for a week or so since it was in the box for a while. Then it’ll get into some more sun. It will be an indoor/outdoor tree. My goal is to just get it happy and growing and won’t be pruning anything based on the advice given here. At least for a long time. Thanks again!

Trees need much more than a sip of water. When it is time to water, water the soil until the water drains out of the holes in the bottom of the container.
