Could be due to root loss associated with being dug for sale. Or root loss due to bad handling between production facility and final planting site. With recovery occurring next year, after root elongation this fall.

begin to let it near dry between waterings.. dig small 3 to 6 inch holes in the gob planted.. and in the undisturbed soil around. to find out about moisture at root depth.. and water accordingly ...

Soil is moist - stuck a spoon down and it’s moist. It was not bare root, planted in a bushel basket per garden centers directions. We live in Southern Wisconsin

All the leaves in it seem healthy and fine. Just not a lot of leaves
