HI everyone, I'm writing from south east Queensland. A few years ago, I bought and planted this Tulipwood:

When I planted it, it was a beautiful deep green. Now, you can see it is pale with red highlights. Yet, it has doubled in height and trunk thickness.

In my yard, the topsoil is very thin, so I had to have soil trucked in. So, the plants in my yard with the native soil are much greener.

Sometimes the leaves get black spots in them. They look more like burn spots. Two close-ups:

I have been afraid to overfeed.
