Chilly day blooms continues on Monday

Down to 52 last night! Many slow to open. Yesterday afternoon we had a driving rain with hail that shredded many of the open blooms, but Hot Wheels looked perfect!

Pink Lantis. For once I really was able to capture the color.

Scarlett Pimpernel, loaded with scapes and buds.

Sugar Magnola has a little discoloring, perhaps from yesterday's driving rain.

A seedling that looks like it won't open all the way, and the 3 smaller buds all died. It is Smoky Mt. Autumn x Jolyene Nichole. It does have a sibling scape with 2 buds. Maybe next year? or maybe it was a bad cross.

Oh me, rain and hail?!! That will do it to the blooms! Scarlet Pimpernel really does have a lot of buds! Beryl Quinn has good color and Big Smile also looks good!

I like Beryl Quinn, I like the midrib daylilies. Scarlet Pimpernel Is looking great today. I not sure what I would do with that seedling, please give us a report about its next opening.

Hail is a naughty word here, so devastating. I’m happy to see your blooms look good today!

Thanks for the feedback. We are going to have another cool night tonight and slightly warmer tomorrow. This is ok with me. Our Air Conditioning isn't in yet, and we may be getting ductless whole house put in if the estimate isn't too bad.

Here's another picture of that seedling. Never did open the whole way.

Scarlet Pimpernel is my favorites of these. Sugar Magnolia looks pretty good except for that one petal. The low night temps have a lot of my daylilies refusing to open. Some of them seem to be on strike until they are provided with warmer nights.
