why are you doing fluted trim and rosettes? this isn't a victorian, no? All of that type of trim is very dated looking on a more modern house.

go with a standard door casing w/mitered corners.

bonus? this is all super easy to paint and keep clean. No fluted trim.

I like this style for more modern home look and for tight clearances you can trim inside edge to fit and retain profile. I like a base trim to go with it like this.

I've already done a bunch of the doors with the fluted trim and rosettes. I don't want to change now.

i'm sure doing this one back door wouldn't matter, but if you think it will, then look for smaller rosettes. Amazon has them at 2"

Or trim one to fit. or have a special one made (you should be able to order them online somewhere)

or forgo the rosette, and just do the box

Looks to me like you may have a similar issue with the door to the left as well. The time for thinking about this was before you start as now you don't have much choice do you?

You haven’t offered much of a view of the area in concern...however based on what you do show...why not just match the other door trim?
