Doing a partial kitchen remodel - counters, backsplash, appliances. Medium tone alder cabinets and light hickory floor will stay. Have chosen Cambria Ironsbridge quartz countertops. Dilemma is the backsplash. Wanted to do a larger cream subway tile but the bar top backsplash behind the sink is only 6”. What size subway can I do that fits there but doesn’t look too busy around the rest of the countertop? (Thinking of doing small glass lantern shape tile in the inset above the cooktop.) A few notes: the massive vent hood is being replaced with something smaller and sleeker. My 6’7” cook/hubby can’t even see the cooktop. Pendant lights are going for the same reason. Replacing gas cooktop with induction.
