Since, you say it's a small space, why not use a mosiac that looks like the main floor? No need to have another tile design.

In a small bathroom, keep the tiles simple. The white in one tile should match the white in the other tile. The shower floor must have a textured non-slip finish.

If it was my space I would not go with any marble. If you like the look of marble get a porcelain look alike. So many people have had difficulty with marble on the forum. I would not want to take the chance. I am so risk adverse that I put in a cast iron pan in my remodel, instead of a tiled pan. I did all of my tile work with the help of this forum and have been very happy with my route. I have porcelain marble look alike that is very realistic. in a 3x3 shower a pan solid surface would be perfect, either cast iron or manmade synthetic type. people are always happy with their solid surface shower pans.

The others how voted for a simple tile design have my vote too. Keep the area simple.

Regarding the black fixtures, I bet you will have water spots develop, but since its a guest bath you could probably manage the area by careful wiping down after each use.

White would be a great way to make your design have a timeless look. Here is an amazing tile that we LOVE with a similar look for some extra inspo!

I would not mix the tile shown with a Calcutta tile. Calcutta has an elevated feel while the tile shown above is much more vintage in appeal. Try and figure out what style you want first. Do you have any inspiration photos you can post? I'm sure if we know the look you're going for we'd be able to help direct you better cause right now I see two directions and trying to apply them both. Simplicity is key in a smaller bathroom.

I wouldn't mix those tiles with marble. I have something very similar in the bathroom because that's what the builder offered.. If you want marble, then go with marble. There is porcelain that looks like marble and you could find something that would go well with the Calcutta
