This is a lovely space! And I think you can make this room work beautifully without repainting. I personally really like the combination of beige and grey with white/off-white. I wouldn't add any other colours though (except possibly black as the accent although not with the rugs I posted). Keep it in this palette and it will feel elegant and interesting at the same time. Having said this I would look for a rug and artwork that combines all of these colours - here are some examples of rugs that I think would work in your space. And think about a round mirror for over the fireplace - but find one that ties in with your sconces. Good luck from Montreal!

Like the sheer shown - take 3 or 4 sheer panels - separate them - grab half way down and begin rotating until a pool of fabric is in a drape puddle on floor - it looks great with bedding goods regardless of blinds behind.

I always believe that there r two sides to the story . so far Jennifer in one post you stated that you hire the tile setter and he should let you know that there was problem with the tiles , then you said in another comment that it was the sales lady who hire the tile setter as she was working in your behalf because you were far away , and you said that it was between the sale lady and tile setter to figure out now , in my professional opinion from what I can see from your pictures the joints look leveled horizontly and vertically , the cuts look clean on tiles and over all it look like decent job , except for the lipage do to extremely bow tiles (but ofcurse I'm limited to the picture quality ) I have hard time believing the tile setter wouldn't tell anyone in charge that the tiles r so bow , Im professional tile setter myself and first thing I do is inspect the tiles as well the floor and walls and if there r any problems before installing tiles I would report it to the person who hire me or who is in charge . what sucks is that the stores don't care and sale garbage tiles and home owners can't tell the difference betwen the good tile and tile that its bow like banana , I can guaranty you that the store will never stop selling this bow tile and there r going to be 100s more unhappy costumers like you. over the past few years the quality of tiles is getting worst and worst but the stores make huge profit on it
