I'd do theses Japanese style finger tiles. I love this look. all the way to the ceiling

I'd also do the entire wall, even above your cabs. otherwise, you barely have any backsplash .

bad photoshop,,,,but an example. I'd prob paint out your window trim to white since I think it would look better. I gave you a roman shade too.

Also, some handles, rather than those tiny knobs, would also dress it up a bit. I just think the round knobs are really understated

I really like the Heron matte. all these colors work w/your kitchen. and they can do it in almost any of their shapes (they have at least 30 of them)

I love their Cobalt glaze too. and you can mix and match and blend glazes.

look at this one w/the triangles, and the soft blue/white blend colors: It's a mix of 4 diff glazes. you could do it in the subway, or hex or whatever else you like
