normal cushion Taylor king?

We just received our new Taylor king couch and their is a lot of wrinkling on the front of the seat cushions and top of back cushions. Is this normal? Also wondering if overhang of corner cushion over frame is normal... I would think it should stop where bottom frame stops

That looks about how our Taylor King sectional looks. TK is a seriously overrated furniture company.

As a Taylor King dealer, that is normal depending on fabric selected. Some materials are more prone to show that than others. Most "overhangs" are due to not installing the cushions properly on the seats. You don't just place them on top of the frame, rather you line up the fronts then push the backs down through the back so you have tension on the cushions and then they will line up properly.

FYI this is one of my go-two brands for quality product, and if you have any issues a good dealer will help you take care of them.

TK is generally excellent. . Yes, fabric and welt will cause different fabric to react differently when filled. Your photo of the boxing is quite close up. You aren't showing the entire sectional, and this appears to be only the chaise, a much longer cushion. Those are notorious for bunching AS THE CUSHION IS STITCHED.

    Show the entire sectional, please.

Thank you for responding. I will post a full pic later today. The worst for the bunching seems to be the chaise and the other end cushion (that overhangs). After sitting on it last night it also seems like the back pillows are so firm and overstuffed that it forces a near upright sitting angle. Will this compress over time or can I have stuffing removed? Thanks so much for the advice!

Oh yes, all the cushions will settle in over time, usually takes about 6 weeks for that to happen. Unless you have a tight back unit, you can adjust the pitch of the back cushions, just angle them a bit.

Looks good to me. Here's a tip. 1) Remove all your back cushions and set them off to the side. 2) Starting with the T-Cushion on the far right, pull that off and when you go to set it, do the front edge first, aligning to the frame. THEN push the back part into the piece and you will be tensioning the cushion to the vertical back of the frame. 3) Go to the chaise and do the same thing. 4) Work each subsequent cushion the same way and the corner unit is the last one in. 5) place the back cushions in place, but don't just set them up there, stand over the back of the unit, align the top and then reach over and press the bottom inwards to it "tucks" into the bottom.

Now all your cushions should align properly if you do this as outlined above. This is something I teach all my delivery team members to do, it's an important part of the presentation of the new piece in a customer's home. Just randomly putting the cushion on the frame results in the look you now have, and that's what most delivery people do because no one ever showed them the correct way to do it.

MM Please let us know it there is still an overhang. I hope this works out for you. Unfortunately, it has been three months and my back cushions don't look any different.

If it is the material, Crypton. the buyer should be forwarned!!! Not to mentioned they sent me this sofa with damaged in the back! I was going to buy two sofas so glad I didn't. Taylor King was a great company, something changed. Too many complaints.

Taylor King did not send you damage. It is picked up from the dock , and shipped. They can no more account for what happens after that, than you can account for a well packaged pair of shoes you return to Zappos.

Take your back cushions to a local upholsterer, who will steam and add fill in corners , if necessary.

Jan Moyer, That is true, Taylor King can not help what happens after it leaves the factory, but it is their responsibility to correct it. After awhile they sent someone to assess the damage, he agreed that the sofa needed to be fixed, and the cushions! I reached out several times afterwards (the store and customer service department) no results. The mark and protrusion on the back of the sofa I will have to live with. The cushions should not have the left the factory. What even happen to quality control? I did go to an upholster. My credit card company resolved the issue. Shame on Taylor King.
