We had a downpour for a while early this morning. Some of the daylilies resented it.

Seedling 1, Fiordiligi x Beryl Quinn. It has bee 4 or 5 years now. time for a name. It doesn't have enough buds to register, but everything else about it is great: holds up to sun and weather, consistent including the first year, increases quickly, has proliferations, good height, and great flower color and form. I also used it in a cross which took and may bloom next year. The odd thing is, the proliferation I planted it taller and has more buds than the original. I'm going to plant a prolif from the prolif group and see what happens.

Smoky Mt. Autumn didn't like the rain either.

Thomas Tew. I never saw it live last year due to the surgery, so this is the first one. And WOW the pictures do not begin to do it justice!

That's all for now. Hopefully Chance Encounter will finally fully open and there will be a picture of it later today.

I knew you would like Thomas Tew! And you are right, it is hard to capture how lovely it is. Castle Pinkney is so pretty. You seedling has a lot of good qualities to check off! And it is pretty as well!

Thomas Tew is a pretty one, I like Castle Pinkney, but Peacock Maiden is my favorite. I am really likeing that one from your photos. .It is funny how some of them are able to take some rain and others almost melt, isn't it? On the other hand, they usually show their appreciation the next day by blooming away.

I love all three of the lavenders, but I think your seedling is my top favorite! Poor Red Grace after the rain.

This looks as if this is as wide open as Chance Encounter is going to get. Still beautiful.

Love your Peacock Maiden, the white marking or so nice Today. I like your seedling, it’s great that it has some good habits going for it.

I like seeing raindrops on flowers. Most of yours look like they held up pretty good.

Castle Pinkney is my pick today. I love the shape and color. It's too bad Red Grace doesn't like the rain. It is a beautiful color. Thomas Tew is lovely too.

Brad please send your cool and rainy weather our way please. We are getting desperate . Love Castle Pinkney (seems we share a common taste in many of the plants you grow and I do too) and Thomas Tew and your bitone seedling !

Be sure to spread some of that rain my way, I seem to be missing a lot of it. I always like Thomas Tew, and Castle Pinkney is my next fav
