Hello all,

Thank you in advance for your help. I accidentally killed off a section of my grass. After a few weeks, I raked up most of the dead grass but I didn’t take it down to bare dirt. I laid down some grass seed and covered it with some big box store compost. I tried to stay on top of watering the grass, at most it was at least twice a day. Almost two weeks later, grass started sprouting. I was still watering the grass but now it is almost taken over with weeds. And these looks like weeds that weren’t there before. Another section of grass I did kill off and take down to bare dirt before planting new seeds, is completely run w/ weeds now. I know I didn’t water that section as much but would that cause this? Is it too early to use a weed killer? How can I get rid of these weeds? Thanks.
