The "why" is because that is an old and defunct forum from GardenWeb. You could post your questions there and some entity they called the 'yard doctor' answered them. But it was not open to discussion.....the only response allowed was from this so-called expert, who has long since departed the scene. That's why no comments are allowed via GardenWeb. They should just delete the entire forum as its purpose has long faded into the ether and its presence now just creates confusion.

just so you know, it was a dumb idea in the first place :-) The 'expert' was a representative of a major lawn mowing manufacturer and his area of expertise was limited to lawn care....so questions dealing with other matters received short shrift!!
