as the temps of the day fall ... it used to be my favorite time to walk around and take pix.. even if i had to slather myself with bug goo ...

ps: the absolute best time to take pix of blues.. is when the sky turn pink.. just before sundown.. but you may only have a few moments to do it.. before it gets too dark ...

I agree Ken. There is that time when the blues, especially ones with a white margin (e.g el Nino, northern exposure) really seem to almost glow with their own light. You've got a 5-10 minute window. My blues are already pretty green here. Thanks for looking.

It is Ken. I was trying to recreate what I actually see. It's hard to capture with the camera on my phone.

All your hostas are great looking. BA is huge.....thought I had a good sized one at about 60-63 inches across. I also have a LSPP that I bought last year. I had to dig her up and pot her for now. She was frying in the sun. I lost shade when I trimmed back my Limelight Hydrangea Tree. So I hope she recovers and I will find better shade for her. I also have Neptune, which is new this year. It is not quite as wavy leafed as yours but by next year I hope so. Thanks for sharing. I will try some evening shots when I am able to do so again.

Love the pairing I just bought a Seducer last year mine is near Guardian Angel and an unnamed blue. El Niño is stunning. My Lakeside Paisley Print has grown well. When I take a few pics I will post. it took a couple of years to flourish.

If this has taught me anything, it's I really need to move my LPP to a better location. It's really stunning! But mine is in a location where it can't display its beauty.
